This website is operated by the Adelaide Competitive Programming Club (ACPC). By participating in any contests or activities associated with this site, you (the participant) agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website and participating in any contests or activities, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any of the terms listed here, you should immediately cease using the website and refrain from participating in any contests or activities.
2. Modification of Terms
The ACPC reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these terms at any time. Participants will be notified of significant changes, but it is your responsibility to regularly review these Terms of Service to stay informed.
3. Use of Generative AI
You may not use any form of generative AI, including but not limited to tools like ChatGPT and CoPilot, to assist you in solving problems during any contest or event organized by the ACPC.
4. External Assistance
You may not receive external assistance from individuals or sources outside of the contest, except for publicly available resources such as language documentation (e.g., cppreference).
5. Communication During Contests
You are prohibited from communicating with anyone except your team members during a contest unless explicitly allowed by the rules of the competition. If you require assistance, contact a committee member.
6. Disqualification and Banning
The ACPC reserves the right to disqualify any participant or team found to be in violation of these terms. This may include disqualification from current and future contests, as well as a potential academic investigation by the University of Adelaide.
7. Ownership of Submissions
By submitting any code or material to the website, you acknowledge and agree that all submissions become the property of the ACPC. These submissions may be used for educational purposes, research, or shared publicly.
8. Competition Rules
Participants are required to adhere to all specific rules and guidelines set out for each competition. Failure to follow the competition-specific rules may result in disqualification or other actions as deemed appropriate by the ACPC.
9. Prize Distribution
The distribution of prizes is at the sole discretion of the ACPC, including the determination of recipients, timing, and any conditions attached to the prizes.
10. Respectful Behavior
Participants are expected to treat all sponsors, partners, committee members, and fellow participants with respect and professionalism. Any form of inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to harassment, offensive language, or disruptive conduct, will not be tolerated. The ACPC reserves the right to take appropriate action, including banning or disqualifying individuals. This may extend to removing participants from events, forums, or other platforms associated with the ACPC, and revoking any prizes or rewards.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the ACPC is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in any contest, event, or use of this website. This includes, but is not limited to, any technical issues, loss of data, or interruptions to services.
